Funniest Moz Lyric

I went to London and I booked myself in at the YWCA. I said "I like it here! Can I stay?"

Anyone who doesn't like Half a Person should be put on the sex offenders register.

But sometimes I'd feel more fulfilled
Making Christmas cards with the mentally ill- That whole song is funny, actully.
Theres so many songs, that are funny to some, that would be considered sad to others, it's intresting to see other people's perspectives

"They said there's too much caffeine in your blood stream,
And a lack of real spice in your life"

Also that grunt he does in the song. :p

Strangely enough, the line you quote is one that I find sad, because I have this sad mental image of the mentally ill making Christmas cards. :(

I like "I'd like to drop my trousers to the world; I am a man of means; of slender means."

Sorry if that one makes anyone sad . . . :p

He'd love to touch, he's afraid that he might self-combust
I could say more, but you get the general idea

I admit I laugh EVERY TIME I hear this.

''Your boyfriend, he
went down on one knee
well, could it be
he's only got one knee?
I tried to surprise you
with Vodka
or, Tizer
I can't quite remember''

"They said there's too much caffeine in your blood stream,
And a lack of real spice in your life"

excllent! hehe, I love that line. and the grunt too. Makes me laugh....

Recently, this made me laugh:

"And did I tell you by the way,
I never liked your face."

and

"Throw your homework into onto the fire" -- I would LOVE to do that!

the whole of "frankly mr shankly." i remember me and my brother laughing out loud the first time we heard it, especially at the line "frankly, mr shankly, since you ask, you are a flatulent pain in the arse."

''Your boyfriend, he
went down on one knee

he's only got one knee?

Hey I like that! I've not heard it before, where's it from?

Thanks! I'll finish catching up on Moz's solo stuff soon, I promise :).

they'll seduce your heart and then slap your arse - heir apparent

Nice one.. I forgot about it.

I like.. "Satan rejected my soul, as low as he goes he never quite goes this low"

From the live version.. "You'll slip on the trail... of all of my entrails" -- The BEST!

Another obscure one -- "hate-in-a-hurry"

From the live version.. "Get your fat ass back to the ghetto"

"When you're small, you're bound to look appalling"

"You're all undisguised.... I'm stuck on shoes!"

etc etc etc

A mate wrote down the lyrics of Franley Mr Shankley in the back of an exercise book during an English lesson at school - about 20 years ago.
I thought they were brilliant and I've been hooked ever since.

I think everyone's comments so far have been funny and I like them all, but I thought I'd add one that no one has mentioned yet:
"Yellow and green
A stumbling block
I'm a twenty-digit combination to unlock
With a past where to be 'touched'
Meant to be 'mental' "
I keep mine Hidden

For many years I wanted to be a 20 digit combination! But, the way that he sings "mental" cracks me up.

I was listening to ROTT today, and as I listened to "On The Streets I Ran" this line cracked me up:

"Streets of wet-black holes
on roads that you can never know
you never have them
but they always have you
till the day that you croak
it's no joke.
"

The way he rhymes croak with joke and the way he says it was funny to me.

My favorites:

"I want to live and I want to love
I want to catch something that I might be ashamed of"

"Under the iron bridge we kissed
And although I ended up with sore lips..."

"What she asked of me at the end of the day
Caligula would have blushed
'Oh, you've been in the house too long,' she said
And I naturally fled"

"Hand in glove, the sun shines out of our behinds"

"Let me get my hands on your mammary glands"

I find "On the Streets I Ran" to be underrated.
"Take people from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania / Just SPARE ME!" always makes me smile.
