Sir Peter Fahy posed with other officers outside Salford Lads Club in a shot made famous by legendary band The Smiths.

The club gained international fame thanks to a photo shoot for the band’s 1986 album, The Queen is Dead.

Thousands of Smiths fans from around they world have posed outside the club over the decades, including Prime Minister David Cameron.
