Mine: Hammersmith Apollo 1991. A wild beautiful night.
so sad to hear about your pal, america has always had a terrible record for drunk driving.least her mermory lives on.The one I would relive is Sacramento 1991 because I went with my friend Nichole and we had a great time. It was a short show though and over before it was really dark. Phranc opened and people threw coins at her. She thanked them and said she needed it for the laundromat. It was great to see him and hear the band's live versions of his songs. He sounded great and the audience was very excited to see him.
Nichole was hit by a drunk driver about a year after that and died so that show and our trip to see it is one of my best memories of her.
I think that the best show I saw was Hollywood Bowl in 2007. Good memories of that too and he played for a long time. It was really exciting to see him there. I stayed in this hotel nearby close enough to walk to the show. There were lots of people walking up the hill to the entrance so it really felt like an event. I decided that was probably the last time I'd see him because I'd seen him in a small casino showroom that same week that held about 200-300 people and it was a complete experience seeing him in a small room and then a big place with thousands of people.
