How does one make money selling tickets?

I have a spare ticket for the Thursday in Brixton, but on eBay they're going for less than what I paid, with the booking fee and P+P taken into consideration.

I find it pretty annoying that initially touts were making a killing, but now I have a genuine spare I can't even make my money back.

I always buy a few tickets for everything cos it's easier to sell a spare than find a ticket for a friend at the last minute. Is 'last minute' the key phrase here?

I've also got Oasis tickets everyone is asking me about but isn't 100%. Now I'm skint I'm not giving any leeway to unreliable mates. Am I a c**t?

I always find 'last minute' is when you get the bargains on ebay, I have never sold anything on there though.
