my roommate in college freakin loved him. her brother used to make fun of her and say that song was about a dude. she would get all pissed off and i would lol. maybe you had to be there but when i hear this song that's what i think of.

Well...I don't approve of anything I've read tonight on this forum about what he said. And, I really can't be bothered to look it ALL up...Having said that, however, I will say this: obviously he isn't very articulate, and he made a HUGE mistake by using certain words and insinuating certain things (just outright showing his ignorance I should say). The Press is always, ALWAYS, waiting for a celebrity to slip up. It's what they get paid to do. But this incident doesn't make him an evil "douchebag". I think it serves as a wakeup call, and from what I've seen from that apology video, he's wide awake now. I like John Mayer. He's a great guitarist. I'm fond of his older music - before fame went to his head. Before he slept with every willing woman in Hollywood. We all make mistakes...maybe not as bold and bright as his, but we all make mistakes

Again - I do not approve of what he said, but I'm not going to lash out or flay him alive when I've seen worse on this very site - especially on the main board. I hope he finds peace and has learned a great lesson through all of this.
