Hmmm...I would say they are not really comparable.

If I were to compare it to Morrissey's Autobiography, I would say that people have probably criticised Morrissey's writing for being too pretentious whereas they may well criticise Johnny's writing for the opposite. The style employed is pretty simplistic, but this is only a first impression as I said earlier. My opinion may change.
