Morrissey is i Nazi

Oh good find!

That looks delicious, actually.

Like Hitler and the norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik, he values the lives of mice above the lives og children.

To be a Morrissey-fan today is to be fan of a nazi.

So sad.

You are such an excellent argument for why internet discussion forums are becoming a waste of time. Things you clearly don't know much about reduced to a single, simple, stubborny defended point of view of the sort one avoids spending time engaging because one hardly knows where to begin. In short, you give idiocy a face. Or at least a moniker.

Hating nazi's is overated, granted there have been a few giddy ones, but they've all got mums.

Re: Morrissey is a Nazi

Who gives a f*** about what a chubby 52 year old who hasn't released a decent record since 1994 means anyway?

Tempted to rise the bait. Shant though, because I don't know enough about your no doubt thrilling lifestyle (e.g. posting on fansites about how much you have hated 16 years of music from the subject of the site) to destroy you. Oops.

You've truly opened my eyes. I had no idea that Morrissey was from 1930's Germany, or that he openly preached national socialism in his songs, or that he hated homosexuals, promoted the domination of the Aryan race and wanted to wipe out the handicapped. I guess when he wrote Reel Around the Fountain, put the Muslim call to prayer in I Will See You In Far Off Places and wore a hearing aid on Top of The Pops, he was being ironic and surreptitiously infiltrating himself into the lives of the disenfranchised and socially outcast members of society to preach his right-wing agenda to them.

It's now also painfully clear that when he was writing songs for The Smiths, he nipped out for a quick Neo-Nazi gathering and a horrified Johnny Marr changed the title of Suffer Little Mice to Suffer Little Children. If Marr hadn't done this we'd all have known earlier that Morrissey thought the murder of humans wasn't important and his Nazi-Mouse agenda would have stopped us becoming fans.

Here's a nice little link for you:

It seems you've proved Godwin wrong by actually starting a discussion using Hitler. I would say well done you, but your hyperbolic comparsion of Morrissey to Hitler is so unintentionally (on your part) hilarious it takes moronic to a new level. You just have to be a Daily Mail reader; nobody else could make such a comment and expect to be taken seriously.

Now someone has to photoshop a pencil moustache onto a photo of Moz for our edification.

Re: Morrissey is a Nazi

his kind would be sent to the ovens by the vegetarian Adolf Hitler

Just a small p.s. Hitler wasn't vegetarian. It's one of those urban myths that everyone would love to be true, like the one about Bob Holness playing saxophone on Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street. Wow, I got Bob Holness and Hitler into an internet post, bet that's never happened before.

Who could make Hitler look like a bus conductor...?

Do you know that your Führer is a vegetarian, and that he does not eat meat because of his general attitude toward life and his love for the world of animals? Do you know that your Führer is an exemplary friend of animals, and even as a chancellor, he is not separated from the animals he has kept for years?...The Führer is an ardent opponent of any torture of animals, in particular vivisection, and has declared to terminate those conditions...thus fulfilling his role as the savior of animals, from continuous and nameless torments and pain. ”

You know what? I bet ol' Moz has a secret fetish for burgers...

Maybe you should've posted your little link in reply to the various times Morrissey (and his fave political organization, PETA) played the Nazi card and the like (for example, when Morrissey compared Canada to the Nazi Holocaust).

But ya didn't.

I have no problem with someone comparing Morrissey with a Nazi. Morrissey took the time to post a scummy and disgusting comment to the True To You web site where he praised and endorsed people sending mail bombs in the name of the Animal Rights Militia to scientists working on treatments for diseases like cancer and AIDS.

After he did that, anyone who calls him a Nazi is entirely justified.

Because he happens to be one.

I don't care if that bugs Boz Boorer, who is quite the BORER on his Facebook in addition to his new songs. And I don't care if it bugs folks at the pathetic cult called AllYouNeedIsMorrissey. What I think about is a little girl opening a package in her home and having it explode in her face because some intolerant, fascist lunatic decided to target her father for doing biomedical research (an incident that occurred shortly before Morrissey chimed in with his endorsement). And then I think of how deranged the fanatical pop star who would praise such a thing must be. What a scumbag to use his celebrity to endorse THAT.

You're a f***ing shithead. :thumb:

Did anyone watch Dr Who last night? It was an episode called 'let's kill Hitler'.

I was thinking of this too. :thumb:

I didn't have to. The point of Godwin's law stands for that argument too. A debate is relatively pointless once someone brings the Nazi party or Hitler into it and by doing so, both PETA and Morrissey also make their argument somewhat redundant.

As I've said before, Morrissey does sometimes make insensitive comments and his one about the Norweigan massacre was also crassly worded. However it is redundant to compare someone with an opinion (however crass) to Hitler or the Nazi's for the simple reason that (and are you ready because this might rock your world) opinions don't kill people.

By your logic and that of Northwind people should be nipping down the Louvre to scrawl Nazi Scum across the Mona Lisa, seeing as Da Vinci had the same opinion as Morrissey, namely that there is no moral difference between the life of a human and the life of an animal. You should also be burning copies of Pygmalion and picketing productions of My Fair Lady for the reason that George Bernard Shaw has the same opinion as Morrissey; namely that there is no moral difference between the life of a human and the life of an animal. And please feel free to graffiti E=MCNazi everywhere you can find to remind people that Albert Einstein was a Nazi for having the same opinion as Morrissey; that there is no moral difference between the life of a human and the life of an animal. Because, after all, humans are animals.

I agree in principle that there is no moral difference between the life of a human and the life of an animal. However, I'm not altruistic enough to put my principles into practice and the fact that humans and other animals are naturally predispsoed to care for their own species before any other is true for most of us and is certainly true for me; despite being a vegetarian myself, I put human life before animal life. I also don't believe that Morrissey is fully altruistic enough to practice what he preaches and he would also put humans before animals if he faced saving one over the other. But the sentiment that animals deserve the same right to life as humans is admirable, for the cossested West as least, who don't need to eat meat or wear fur to survive.

Northwind's argument is ridiculous because Hitler, the Nazi's and Brevik all murdered people for a right-wing cause. Morrissey has never murdered anyone and is as lefty as they come. Well, his sometimes insensitive opinions may have leapt off the stage and are now running amok, making Daily Mail readers drop dead from apoplectic fits of rage, but hey ho, the fewer right wingers the better. Overall it makes me smile how some people foam at the mouth and complain just because someone put a comment (in a country which claims to love free speech) into sensible perspective.

Oh the complete drear Theo has infected this thread too. No surprise, the cretin who started it is equally dopey.
