Morrissey slash fiction

v2.0
Inspired by Suzanne's fan fiction thread, I didn't know where to put this one... So I thought it would go nicely with the frink thread :p

So, does anybody have any MSF? Apart from the ground-breaking Franz rent boy slash! :D

Aye! :) Moreover, having it read again now, after the release of the Ringleader, these two lines made me raise my right eyebrow:

“If I asked you to come with me, I wouldn’t be able to pay you. It would kill me.[...]" "[...]gently, he entered Alex, whispering in his ear [...]"

Oh yes, that line jumped out at me too (having just read it for the first time). :D There was the discussion about 'You Have Killed Me' a few days ago wasn't there where someone put forward the theory of Rome rent-boys being the meaning behind the song? I don't go with that idea, personally, but it's all very interesting.

Well, for all I know, Piazza Cavour is a place in Rome where rent-boys pick up their clients. But of course it could just be a song about Pasolini, Moz talking about him rather than about some personal experience.

edit: When I posted this I wrote Visconti instead of Pasolini :)

There are a bunch all over livejournal, but sadly they're 'locked' and viewable only if you get (1) a livejournal and (2) the author's permission. Slash writers are kinda shy, it appears. Never understood it, but hey, I don't write slash, so what's for me to say. :)

That Franz rentboy slash is absolutely amazing. My favorite Moz slash story involves a pairing with Brett Anderson.

I imagine one can come up with lots of material for writing a slash involving Morrissey and Brett Anderson :D

Can you point me where to look for it? Hell I'll start writing a livejournal if that's what it takes!

O' Lord!!.....my poor virgin eyes have suffered tremendously reading this filth above........ someone needs to come up with a story about Moz and a young nice-looking virginal fellow ;) [about love, not porn]......these rentboys are gold-diggin whores who don't deserve any attention....eww I hate prostitution sluts.....all they do is spread disease and immorality!!

This is such a waste of time. Fan fiction is one thing, but all this rent boy stuff is just demeaning to Morrissey. No true fan would write undiluted crap such as this.

Oh my God, you'd have to have a heart of stone not to laugh your head off at that story. The dialogue they gave poor Mozzer was agonisingly bad.
Apart from that, I enjoyed it.

But... in the story they're not intending to be gold diggers. they're doing it to support themselves.

Have you never listened to "Piccadilly Palare"? Or Gene's hommage to it, "How Much For Love?"

Can't be THAT bad seeing as Alex Kapranos read it and really liked it, and that it's been read out on Radio 1 and then on a Channel 4 podcast.

Maybe you'd like to try your hand at writing Moz dialogue before saying it's "agonisingly bad". I thought it was quite good, myself.

The point of the story is that Morrissey feels sorry for the rentboys. Haven't you listened to "Piccadilly Palare"? The story would never been written if Morrissey hadn't romanticised rentboys like that.

And let's not wheel out the tired "who's the greatest fan" argument. You evidently haven't read much fan fiction if you think THAT story is "undiluted crap"!

Perhaps I was a bit harsh but I'm sure 'Steve' would have a better opening gambit than ''You look as bored as I feel'' It's a bit like him saying ''Cheer up it might never happen. I did actually think on the whole it was well written but it was still very funny, especially the part about the enormous size of Steve's hot meat pies.
It very near turned me 'ead.

So you slagged it of, but then found out Alex Kapranos likes it and that it was read aloud on Channel 4 and a podcast and now you think it's well written? Hmmmm....

And I suppose you know exactly how Morrissey would talk?

Wow.

No I said in my original post that I liked it apart from the dialogue. Having something read out on Radio 1 or Channel 4 isn't going to impress me or make me change my mind about anything.

And I suppose you know exactly how Morrissey would talk?

Wow.

No, I would have no idea what Morrissey would say in that particular situation or indeed any other.

I don't think it's meant to be 'accurate' so much as a playful parody of the way Morrissey talks. It's written for the fans.

And seriously, anyone who thinks such stories, OR rentboys, spread 'filth' or 'immorality' needs to have their head screwed on right. (Sorry DAnn, you know I love you.)

All yee doubters - yes, there is such thing as bad slash, but this is not one of them. I guess I'll have to accept (unwillingly, alas! :( ) that not everyone is into this kind of thing...
