Never seen Morrissey live

Hi all!

Still fairly new to this site so I thought I'd chip in. I have a confession to make. In my short (seemingly long) 21 years on this earth, I have never had the privilege of seeing Moz in concert. I can sense the Moz concert veterans glare. With this new album announced, of which I have a strong feeling with be another solid album, I am hopeful that perhaps in 2018 there will be a U.K. tour and I will finally witness the majestic man with my own eyes.

My question to all of you, though it may be an overused one, from all the live performances you have seen, which songs would you pick if you could make your own custom setlist?

1) Maladjusted (with the opening of "The Teachers Are Afraid Of The Pupils")
2) Disappointed
3) Reader Meet Author
4) Girl Least Likely to
5) Come back to Camden
6) Cemetary Gates
7) The Ordinary Boys
8) What Difference Does it make?
9) Girl Afraid
10) Sunny
11) Boxers
12) Back to the old house
13) I'm not sorry
14) Because of my poor education
15) Mountjoy
16) Nowhere Fast
17) Lifeguard on Duty
18) The Father Who Must Be Killed
19) In The Future When All's Well
20) Friday Mourning
21) I'm OK by myself
22)I'm not a Man
encore:
23) Hold on to your friends
24) Seasick, Yet still docked

I did one of these years back and someone mocked my inclusion of Michael's Bones, but I think it's a great song.

(Uncle Skinny: that's the spirit!)

encore:
23) Hold on to your friends
24) Seasick, Yet still docked

This would send everyone straight to sleep! Which, seeing that it would be about 10:30 p.m., might not be a bad thing.

Pretty solid setlist, I must say. Even with that encore!

I myself never seen him live too, and I know for sure I'll never will. But here's my dream setlist anyway:
  • the queen is dead
  • hairdresser on fire
  • sister I'm a poet
  • spring-heeled jim
  • will never marry
  • alsatian cousin
  • tony the pony
  • i'm not a man
  • death at one's elbow
  • nobody loves us
  • the headmaster ritual
  • you were good in your time
  • seasick yet still docked
  • lifeguard sleeping girl drowning
  • jack the ripper

Viva Hate in the order of the album and that is more than enough.

I'd be pissed off if that was ever a setlist. S'all about opinions, I guess.

For some reason I always prefer encores that play mellower songs, as it kind of represents a fuller and more satisfying ending.

Now my heart is full that he played either in Chicago or San Diego when I saw him was a good choice. Mellow, upbeat, and a sing along.

Yeah, I think that may actually be the perfect song to end with IMO. It's also one of my favourites :)

Same here especially since he changed the lyrics at Battersea in 1997 cause he had my Man United scarf onstage at the swedish gig before Battersea.

"Every jammy Stretford Poet" instead of Stressford. Stretford End of course being the old hardcore United fan end at Old Trafford before the K-Stand took over the hardcore following many years later.

Shut the f*** up.

Teenage Dad and Kiss Me A Lot? I'd ask for my money back.

*Every Stretford Ender poet".

This thread is a bit like the football fans online predicting their teams line up before a game and no one is ever right.

I will shut up now, I promise.

I heard he will perform a new song called "Jealousy is a sign of weakness".
