Wouldn't it be funny if CC Sabathia gets hurt in spring training and Pavano has a career season? Would be justice after the Yanks spent about $500 million on new signings. Boy, when the Yanks miss the playoffs they sure go nuts in the off-season. Do recessions not apply to the Yankee organization?

You know it's gonna be Yankees vs Indians in the ALCS. Indians do well in the odd-numbered years. :)
 
The Yankees salary this year is still lower than last year.
They took Giambi, Mussina, Pettitte, Pavano and Abreu off the books.
They are down about $16M from last year's salary.

Anyone but the Red Soxs sounds good to me.
Can you imagine if Pavano pitches the first game and gets the win. He's not going to get over the Hudson River alive.

He'll be fired up for sure! And while CC will be too busy counting his money to care, Pavano needs to have a good season to collect an extra $5.3 million. And we've still got Cliff Lee and Fausto Carmona in the rotation. The Indians are gonna piss all over the opening of the new Yankee ballpark!
 
P.S. For those not up on things, the Cleveland Cavaliers have the best record in the NBA and the Celtics are in a slump!!! Cleveland vs. Boston tomorrow night at The Q!

Let's hope that Pavano is too busy counting the 40 million he stole from the Yankees. ;) .
