I was thinking more of contemporary pop stars. Ronnie Spector is a legend and I don't think Adele is that. I think Beyonce or Lady Gaga are more similar.

Gaga has been off the boil for the last 10 years....
There really isn’t a present female singer that comes to my mind other than Brandi Carlile
