"THE GUARDIAN - THE VENDETTA, ETC….

A well written piece by Joshua Surtees in The Guardian for a change today.

Unlike the bullshit consistently put out there by hacks the likes of Tim Jonze, using his buddy Billy Braggart, etc.

Joshua's piece was heartfelt and articulate.

His talents would actually better serve the world by using it for a more important goal than critique of a music artist.

We could really use writing of this caliber over here in the States writing against Trump, etc.

However, there is only one little problem with Joshua’s story……

MORRISSEY IS NOT A RACIST!

You can say what you like about his provocative views.

But I’ve been with him as manager for over two years now.

When you travel together around the world, meeting all kinds of people, something like that would not go unnoticed.

So….

Who’s right? Who is wrong?

Why don’t we find out together!!!

Joshua Surtees - If you read this…...I’m offering you a job!

We invite you to come out for the first week of our U.S. Tour in September.

All expenses paid.

Cover the tour for us, and come see for yourself.

Since M was such an important influence in your early life it should be worthwhile.

One thing…….you’d have to find a better paper than The Guardian to sell it to.

Since they have the absolute lowest circulation of all the major dailies in the UK.

And since the paper and their music editor have now become so well known for their personal vendettas against artists, etc.

What do you say? - PK"

He doesn't have a clue, does he? I remember, during Der Spiegel interview, the interviewer mentioned that his language had become like that of Donald Trump, but Morrissey just brushed it off. I would respect Morrissey a lot more if he stuck to a consistent ideology, even if it was one that I disagree with. But his general cluelessness about politics is just embarrassing. Or maybe he just dislikes Trump because he doesn't just hate Muslims, but also Mexicans - Morrissey's preferred choice of immigrant.
Well, that says more about your memory than it does about Morrissey, because she never said that.
She was far too doting and obsequious to compare him to someone she had a negative opinion of or criticize him in any way.
He's a centrist. He flower-picks different aspects of different ideologies that suit his own steady values. Yes, there should be some degree of consistency... and I'm sure it all makes sense in his head.
However, I'm sure the world would be a much better place if people didn't align themselves with ideologies completely and blindly. It's better to flower pick. It means you're actually thinking, instead of picking a pack of dogs, joining it, and following it blindly.
Anyway, I'm not embarrassed.

He was, literally, the world's biggest Steve fan. He had the posters, the t-shirts, the hair, every song ever recorded solo or Smith. He recorded cover versions on YouTube, he even went on a national TV quiz show to show off his expertise on the man. Everyone that knew him - friends, colleagues, family, knew him as the ultimate Morrissey fan. That was fine with him of course initially. Morrissey stood for lots of wonderful things. Poetry, sensitivity, humour, insight, tolerance, and he was massively against royalty, the meat industry, the powerful and right-wing politics.
When Morrissey started to show the unpleasant sides of his nature, culminating in his vocal and visual support for a far-right political party, Phil Skinny was 100% guilty by association, such was the size of his unquestioning fandom. So, he now has to dedicate every spare minute of his life to telling anyone who will listen (sadly, just the 27 or so people who still regularly visit this site) how much he hates the man. It's a truly wretched existence.
Is there any way to see this quiz show. That would be fair. No?

He has been seduced into supporting For Bigots because the leader (who he followed before she formed the party) is a gay, vegan, feminist patriotic lesbian.

Seduced. Heh.

Sheeeeeeeeeiiiiiit. Gentile, please. I'm a better writer than Joshua f***ing Surtees AND I'm a Moz loyalist. Why don't they get me to follow him around on tour? I'd make Morrissey look like a pimp. Instead they wanna reward so black guy for talking shit on him. Total cuckery.

Best case scenario: he writes a puff piece which causes zero people to change their minds. Worst case scenario: he ambushes Morrissey and writes another, even more damaging piece about Morrissey.

You'd know all about puff pieces which do nothing to change peoples minds, right? You're a failed-comedian-turned-lousy-writer peddling your glorified blog posts to people on a fan site who don't give a shit. Take your garbage perspective elsewhere.

I'm a gay, patriotic vegetarian who has the added BENEFIT of being BUSTY w/ an IQ of 152 so you little shits better trust me when I say I'm a helluva lot more seductive than AMW and will be reclaiming MY Steve.

Enough of this “he said, she said” nonsense. Morrissey is a musician. Let’s focus on the music, shall we?

...trite, pitchy, beige pablum for a trip up the lift - or a shop down the frozen-vegetable aisle.

20 years of cheap, easy rubbish, with a cut-rate band. ...and THAT’s why his fan base is restricted to those who’ve got about as much sense of history, sociology and politics as the man himself.

That’s fine. Enjoy. ...but at this point - don’t try to tell me that you're any more or less than a modern day Pat Boone fan, scraping to feel a part of something that was over decades ago.

Is there any way to see this quiz show. That would be fair. No?

I think it was on Mastermind, and I guess it might be on YouTube.
Guessing that the specialist subject was 'Morrissey' or 'the Smiths' so perhaps try Googling that...

Nice little plug for the fall US tour, which was booked into venues too large. Hence, many (many) tickets remain.

Let me get my hands on etc

Do you think Uncle Skinny cares about Morrissey? He emphatically states that he does NOT. Then goes on to INSIST that Morrissey is a racist, a nazi, a fash boy. It's very bizarre! Hard for me to take my eyes from what seems to be a slow train wreck.

Yes its a very bizarre train wreck we are witnessing here with Skinny.
Its like a movie where the train goes over the edge of a mountain and explodes.
Poor twat.:lbf:

Lets take a step back. Firstly "reading the news" The Guardian have shit the themselves and now presented a journalist to argue the case on their behalf. This is out of desperation and to continue the pitiful accusations, which many know are utter bollocks. This journalist as sold their soul in my opinion.

aye aye captain!!

I knew you was smart. I knew it when you used the word untenable and explained to me the nature of the 'afro'. I said to myself that there little miss is SMART.

didn't know you was the WHOLE PACKAGE!!

they are pissed off because the album is now at #33 in the UK, not even two weeks in the top 30

Imagine being so on edge, you watch every copy of the Guardian. That's what they've become. Desperate.

Imagine being so infatuated with a pop star - that you’ve claimed to hate for years - that you still watch every post on his fan-site forum like a hawk with nothing better to do, repeating the same tired comments ad-finitum to a barrage of concerned annoyance from people who wish you would cease to exist, or at least move somewhere far away without an internet connection.

That’s what you became a long, long time ago; though I’m not sure I’d call it desperate.

Maybe unhinged?
