tell us about the last Film you saw

Re: tell us about the last Film you saw.

I/We watched "Shutter Island" last night....can't say nuffin' about the plot as it may ruin it for those who haven't saw it yet....but, it's a "Thinker".....
Very creepy, very strange, VERY well filmed and acted, and...I totally LOVED Leo di caprio in it....he acted Sir Ben kingsley outta the Frickkin' room....
WELL recommended.......don't have nightmares!!

Re: tell us about the last Film you saw.

A fascinating, film noirish, wildy weird art flick called "DARK ARC" (directed by Dan Zukovic) - caught on Netflix. A bizarre love triangle between a decadent art critic Viscount, an escort/Cometician and a graphic designer. Strange games ensue, driven by the search for one's ultimate "charged" image. Blackly comic/tragic, with a closing song called "F.ByronFitzBaudelaire" that has an archly memorable Morrissey-esque tone...

Dirty Dancing and I loved it. Soooooooooooooo much. Awesome, awesome, awesome. I don't care what you men say, it was great.

I watched Labyrinth again last night. Maybe a bit cheesy, and weird, but I really liked it. Villain David Bowie.:horny:

I want the Labyrinth soundtrack now. The David Bowie songs were great. I am wondering if it's worth $9.99. I just have $13 in itunes gift cards, and considering I am a teenager, that is all I am going to have until the next holiday.:squiffy: Maybe I will wait to see if they have it cheaper at the records store here. They usually have soundtracks on sale.

...before I went to bed last night. Fatal error! I don't deal well with thrillers/horrors/anything over PG in general; so I've had better night's sleep.
Regardless, it's a very intense, gripping film, and I did enjoy it. Ellen Page is terrifying - much more so than the paedophile character (in my opinion), interestingly.

I remember seeing this on its release, I sat in the cinema almost squirming at some of the scenes. Ellen Page is superb in what must have been a very challenging role, as is Patrick Wilson. An unforgettable film.

I saw Captain America on Sunday, it was better than I expected, as I'm sick of super hero movies at the moment. Good acting and some very clever visual effects, well paced and just the right running time. Worth a look.

I saw this on the list today and opted for (speaking of Ellen Page) Inception. MY GOD is that movie brilliant. And intense. And amazing familiar music. Love it!!

The man just wants to get home to his kids. :D

"Frozen".
About a group of friends who get "Stuck" on a Ski-Lift -thingy when it suddenly shuts down for 5 days, leaving them helpless and abandoned, hanging above a deserted Ski-ing slope/Mountain.

An incredibly Tense little movie...made me "Jump" and go "Arggh" a couple of times....
It was only "Slightly" spoiled by the fact that the 3 central characters where straight out of "Typecast teenagers.com" Land. Even the "Token" Girl ( Yup....Blonde....and Stoopid..), was the typical "Bimbo/Love interest eye candy", and I didn't Really care if they survived or not..But it was still tense enough to entertain me/us.
At least the Mountain Wolves in it looked "Real", not CGI rubbish....I'd suggest giving it a watch...

I just watched Albert Brooks' movie The Muse. :D It was funny! Especially after seeing billboards all over town that read the "Dude Meets Prude". :)

Every few months I catch a few minutes of Lost In Translation on cable. I usually turn it off because it just gets so heavy, it's one of those movies that touches so many buttons for me, good ones, painful ones. This particular scene has immense comic effect, but is kind of the story of my imaginary life. Another scene where I lose it that I don't believe is on youtube is when she peeks into a room of the hotel to see the triviality of a bimbo giving a press conference about a movie, then finds herself in a room where Japanese women are teaching her how to make a beautiful floral arrangements, like Gods teaching her something more substantial and meaningful. I lose it every time. Still, this scene, classic. I always quietly hoped YOR was born out of some situation like this.

Another great scene.

Sophia Coppola is a genius. She's tuned into something very touching.

anyone watched Cowboys Vs Aliens yet? Might watch it sometime this month when I get around to watching endless Doctor Who!!

Re: tell us about the last Film you saw.

I saw the Fright Night remake in 3d. I'm really loathing this 3d gimmick.
I'm a huge fan of the original so the remake was a letdown. I enjoyed Colin Farrell as Jerry at least.

Re: tell us about the last Film you saw.

I watched Norma Rae tonight. It seemed loooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnggggggggg. (Bronchitis is kicking my ass, all I could think of was going home to sleep.) But it was a decent movie. This particular scene was quite moving.
