Being John Malkovich

No comment.

The Sessions: 3 out of 4 stars.

Great story, acting. Not sure what actor does the best job.

We rented this movie because I've been feeling a little stressed lately and wanted to watch something funny and feel-good. I chuckled a few times but the whole thing seemed poorly put together. I give Admissions 2/5.

Burton and Taylor: BBC4 biopic. (2013)
Not great, but it held up the bittersweet love story.

Seven Psychopaths (2012)
Rambling film but had some funny dialogue.

Thriller: A Cruel Picture (1973)
Wacky Swedes!

Watched "Food, Inc." tonight.
How the eff can we change all the crap that goes on in the food industry.

I watched The Canyons last night.

Canyons_Poster-231x300.jpg

Directed by Paul Schrader, best known for writing Taxi Driver, and written by Bret Easton Ellis, best known for writing American Psycho.

Starring Lindsay Lohan, best known for public meltdowns, and James Deen, best known for his large penis.

The film is best known for this article http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/13/magazine/here-is-what-happens-when-you-cast-lindsay-lohan-in-your-movie.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0 which details Lohan's behaviour on set and the problems it caused.

Having seen the film, I don't think it's going to rise above the reputation it's acquired.

It's not unwatchable. It just has a very strange tone. Lohan's performance is pretty good in parts, not so much in others. Deen comes out of it quite well I think. I didn't know what he looked like when I started watching and thought that he was playing a different character. I thought that he should probably stick to his day job. Then I found out that the guy whose performance I found so terrible is in fact a "real" actor. Maybe he should think about doing porn.

So yeah, trashy film with some crap acting. Looks alright though. And I think with better actors, Ellis' dialogue would work.

5.5/10

I worked an all day job recently with one of the cameramen on that movie. ^^^

This movie is worse than therapy. :o :tears:

Forest Gump. Old but I've never watched it until now. I was very moved by it and it made me realise that Tom Hanks is a very good actor. Also I cried .....yes tears from Sister Rose

I just got around to watching this. I loved it. The story was so entrancing that I was unaware that I was watching CGI effects. It also left me thinking about it afterwards, a sign of a good movie to me.
