I just got an email from Universal Music's Record Store Day release info.

Diana Dors' So Little Time 7 inch single will be released.

"Diana Dors made the best record of the Sixties" - Morrissey 1997

Startling Fontana single from 1964 gets an ultra-limited re-pressing on 7” for Record Store Day 2014!

50 years ago, Britain’s pre-eminent blonde bombshell cut one single for Fontana that has become highly sought after by 60s beat and mod collectors and more recently by acolytes of Morrissey.
Many of the latter first came across So Little Time on Morrissey’s Under The Influence compilation (2003) and were genuinely surprised that sex symbol DD had recorded what was almost universally regarded as the highlight of the piece.

Morrissey’s admiration for Diana Dors will be no surprise to Moz acolytes.
‘So Little Time’ was played during the intermission on the ‘Kill Uncle’ tour and on the American leg of the Greatest Hits tour.
In the sleevenotes for ‘Under The Influence’ he added, “She had the sexiest voice in world history”.

With its pounding drums and bursts of proto-psych guitar played by big Jim Sullivan,
So Little Time, is perhaps the highlight of her recording career. Lyrically and musically it’s very different to the more sedate,
though no less accomplished flipside. Both sides were co-written by Les Reed and Barry Mason,
the team behind such ‘60s whoppers as Delilah (Tom Jones) and The Last Waltz (Engelbert Humperdinck).

Only available in high street record stores - April 19th 2014.

Nice to see that Diana Dors track get a wider release, killer track! Have the original Fontana promo, but might pick this up if I find it anyway.
