A little poke? How dare you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
People like you make me sick. There are other sorts of groups for you, Mr. where that kind of talk goes on thank you. You give men a bad name. How crude and utterly classless. Your statement "...As long as your not rude about it" would have meade one think you'd not stoop that low. Boooo to you.

What is so shocking about that? Most fan stories I read seem to involve the fan camping out in the hotel lobby and getting to talk to him.

I don't think that is possible. Usually, from what I can tell, those people somehow end up in his entourage. Like Jake, for example...

I am quite daring :)

Oh, I dare.

I do give men a bad name though, don't I? ;)

Oh, no, I was talking about Steven's reaction to the girls' lovingly following his tour shows. As a Smith, it's almost expected but as Morrissey, at this point, I'd think that it would be quite unexpected. I just wonder if he's just very cool about all things now that he's 40.

Well, Jake was a man and I no longer believe that Steven's homosexual (exclusively).

"No longer?" What made you change your mind?

Just curious...

Hell, ya got 19 year olds still trying to sleep with the Rolling Stones. Mick got a model pregnant just recently. It doesn't really stop at a certain age. Plus, they look like nasty old codgers.

And I don't think it's weird that anyone is following him on the tour. If you have people flying in from all parts of the globe to see him in Podunk, Arizona, then it would be odd if nobody was following the tour. A website such as this one wouldn't exist to begin with if nobody was that interested.

Unless, you are looking at it as a sexual conquest on their part, then I still don't see what is so weird about it. He's into music and still a sex symbol, so you will have some poor delusional fans following him trying what they can.

I'm not talking about his sexual preference. I'm talking about how he would personally react to them after the fact.

I think they are getting bored. In her Tilsburg review she said she was hoping they would add more variety to the setlist. Also they are very tired.

By the way, I wonder if any of the girls have slept with Steven.

Oh, you nasty woman. Morrissey is far too normal and shy for that kind of stuff. I think he's depressingly ordinary in some ways. And do those two girls LOOK like groupie sluts? no! Though with Sack ... there was a picture of one of them holding a beer and staring at a girl's chest.

It's pretty hard to think of Moz being exclusively gay. Look at this thing from an interview he did in 1995 with Les Inrockuptibles:

Q: You're taken for an aesthete. Are you never attracted by plastic beauty ? Women's physiques ?

M: I've had a quite late development on this level. Now if I see a beautiful woman I can be attracted like any man. But I find it very embarrassing. It's the same whether it's an attraction to a man or a woman.

(If that's not an admission of bisexuality, I don't know what is.)

Morrissey Tour Following - A Duffers Guide

I've never done a whole tour myself, generally about 6 or 7 shows at a time, but i know people who have. Some may be rich i don't really know. But most of them arent. And here are some of the ways they have done it.

Travelling - Buses are the cheapest but msot gruelling way. i've spent many a night on the overnight Glasgow to London bus. I know of one person who covered almost all the Maladjusted dates in America by greyhound buses. And the beauty about night buses is that you don't need accomodation.
Theres also a rail pass for people visiting Britain from abroad that gives something like 15 days unlimited travel for about 200 quid, so thats another option that i know people have used.

Accomodation - You always meet people doing tours - most of whom turn into to be decent individuals. Theres always plenty of offers to sleep on floors. A lot of people who do tours tend to sleep in dodgy hostels and YMCA's and the like - and cheap B&B's are a common option - and it also means you get at least one meal a day. I know of a few who did the Boxers tour sleeping in bus and train stations - takes a bit of commitment that does.

Eating - Sometimes you do sometimes you don't. Even doing a few dates funny things happen to you. You're normal sleeping and eating patterns go astray and suddenly you find yourself standing in some drizzly town on a Sunday afternoon and realising you havent eaten since Thursday. Maybe not a healthy way to live but its survivable.

Overall you just need a lot of commitment and some willingness to make sacrifices. Some people i know have taken 2 jobs for a year to save for it. Some sell their Cd collection. Some save up their social security cheques and run up huge overdrafts. Obviously its not really an option if youre married with kids, but for the singles ones among us there are ways. And if the people doing the tours are rich, well good luck to them. I'd do the same if i had the money.

And the ironic thing? She's married!
