Why are these impersonators called REBELS??

Oh shut up, please, they do not rebel, instead they conform, they conform to this style that every young Mexican who goes to clubs nowadays wears. They are rabid and vile and I should know because one of my good friends was one of these guys. Yes, one of my friends and his friends were the kind of people I am talking about. I loved my friend anyway but he was just clueless.

Oh sure, they'll be around until the next hip-hop craze arrives.

Re: REBEL STRIKES BACK *bleh!*

This whole rebel thing is definitly a fad. If you don't hang out in So. Californa then you might not understand the trendyness of the whole thing. Its kind of silly. Kids dress up like James Dean and try to act tough. When I first saw it, I tought it was kind of cool, but there are *way* too many people jumping on the band wagon. As for wheather or not the recent comments have been "racist" ones, I think they definitly have not. Most of the comments were from Mexican-Americans and were intended to criticize conformists.

There were many of these so-called rebels at the Morrissey/Smiths convention a few months back. Most of them seemed to have been part of both the rebel scene, and the Moz scene for some time and they meshed very well with the crowd there. However, there were a few kids who were new to the rebel fad and didn't really seem to know who Morrissey is at all. These people became annoying very quickly. They kept climbing up on the stage and diving into the crowd over and over again. They were not there for the music. They were only there to try to get attention. I know not all the kids caught up in this rebel fad are quite as obnoxius as this bunch was, but for everyone in So. Cal, I really hope the shows work out okay. I'm catching the show in SF, so I'll most likely avoid the rebel kids.
