Former NME writer (and acquaintance) who had interviewed Morrissey on many, many occasions (via film and published materials).
He wrote Meetings With Morrissey in 2008.
Although he still writes, he is now a television producer / director.

Most recently he produced & directed the Sky Arts Passions episode Chi-chi Nwanoku OBE on Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and he was the producer of Geri’s 1990s: My Drive To Freedom for BBC Music & Arts. Over the years he has worked on a wide range of acclaimed music programmes including Marc Bolan & T. Rex: Dandy In The Underworld (Channel Four); The Carpenters: Close To You (ITV); and Rod Stewart: Wine Women & Song (BBC) plus major sports series such as Three Lions: England Expects and When Boxing Ruled The World for BBC One. He was a producer on Channel Four’s acclaimed social history series Born On The Same Day and also several major pop culture and arts series for the BBC, ITV and Channel Four including My Generation on Sixties R&B bands (The Kinks, The Animals, The Yardbirds, Small Faces etc), God Bless America (on American writers and their cities) and the Brit Girls featuring Cilla Black, Sandie Shaw, Lulu and Marianne Faithful.
