The 2008 YrockOnXPN.org Modern Rock Madness grid is up and Morrissey (and The Smiths) made the list of 64 artists in the tournament! It's kinda like the NCAA basketball tourney, but with bands instead - and listeners vote for their favorites in one-on-one matchups to see who advances! In past years bands like Weezer, NIN, Green Day, and Nirvana have been crowned champions - all based on listener / fan voting during the matchups.

Click HERE to learn more and find out how you can help Morrissey to advance in Modern Rock Madness. His first match happens on Monday 3/17 at 2:30pm (EST).

YrockOnXPN.org is a nationally acclaimed modern / alt / indie rock internet radio station and website, part of the U of Pennsylvania's non-commercial WXPN. If you haven't listened to it yet - check it out (I host my show at 11:00am (EST) on Friday) - and make sure to vote for your favorite bands in Yrock's Modern Rock Madness!
