Morrissey sings about Marr

You were obviously alluding to the fact that Morrissey mentions cars in his songs but i don't think any of them relate to Marr..:)

LOL! Speaking of cars I better get off here and get ready to go get mine... I will try to message you latter Alasdair! Take care!

Hey what about "Driving Your Girlfriend Home?" Perhaps... Maybe...

Drive safely.

'Driving' is good shout but maybe won't stand up to much scrutiny..:)

I could've sworn "Disappointed" was about Johnny. I mean,

I drank too much, I said to much...

around the time of the recording of Strangeways, mozza had been coming into the studio wasted and it pissed off the smiths...

young boyyyyyyy, I wanna help you.
directly TO johnny?...

truly disappointed...

Moz was distraught the weeks following the breakup...

Also, everytime i listen to "Break Up the Family", i think of it as a song to johnny, and how one of the original name choices for The Smiths was The Smiths' Family...thankfully that didn't succeed :o

I'm one of those folks who doesn't believe Morrissey wrote any songs about Johnny Marr. I don't recall him ever admitting such a thing but, sometimes I hear a song and I can't help but wonder.

I would add "I Like You" off of YATQ.

No, "I Like You" is about Julia...

It is said that, there are lots of Moz songs, which are about Marr.

I believe they are.
Lucky lisp and He knows I' d love to see him.

Anymore?

Discuss..

Lucky Lisp is about Billy Fury.

I'd Love to see him is mainly about Morrissey's father I believe... amongst others.

i always wondered if Billy Budd was about Johnny Marr?

First of all the guitar work is reminiscent of Marrs work on The Queen is Dead (song rather than Album)

and the lyrics:

Say, Billy Budd
So you think you should ?
Oh, everyone's laughing
Say, Billy Budd
So you think that you should ?
Everyone's laughing !
Since I took up with you

Things have been bad
Yeah, but now it's 12 years on
Now it's 12 years on
Yes, and I took up with you

I took my job application
Into town
Did you hear ? They turned me down
Yes, and it's all because of us
Oh, and what was in our eyes
Oh, what was in our eyes, yeah

I said, Billy Budd
I would happily lose
Both of my legs
I would lose both of my legs
Oh, if it meant you could be free
Oh, if it meant you could be free

This came out in 1994 - about 12 years after their first meeting....

Or it might be nothing of the sort! :D

i always though this as well , im sure it was in a magazine at some point
