NME on the shelves in Tokyo...

King Leer

Leering since '97
Saw a copy staring out at me from the shelves and couldn't help but pick it up (I had of course read the scans on here last week). I check nme.com for headlines and read a review or two, but it had been years since I looked at a hard copy.

Never mind the "writing" to be found in its pages (which Moz decimated in his statement), but bloody hell if it isn't the ugliest looking magazine I've seen in ages. It's all sickly pinks and yellows and ADD graphic design. It's like a teenage girls' magazine from the 80s with food poisoning. In the middle of that is that are the more sober, mostly b&w pages of the Morrissey article.

The NME deserves to be taken down for what they attempted, but part of me does have to agree with the questions of "what was Morrissey thinking even giving them another chance?"

I like the shot of Moz and the band in NYC, though. Hopefully a large format version of it turns up online.

Thank you very much again for the link.
I have no idea the blogger who is writing the blog.
