Review of Morrissey's Saturday show from the NME:

HOW SOON IS MOZ?

MORRISSEY stunned his fans at the READING leg of the CARLING WEEKEND tonight (August 27) by playing an ultra-rare version of the SMITHS classic ’HOW SOON IS NOW?’.

The star opened his set with the track, before going on to play a host of classics from his back catalogue as well as a chuck of songs from new album ’You Are The Quarry’.

The Mozfather’s set included The Smiths’ ’Shoplifters Of The World Unite’ and ’There Is A Light That Never Goes Out’, solo classics ’November Spawned A Monster’ and ’Everyday Is Like Sunday’ as well as recent hits ’Irish Blood, English Heart’ and ’First Of The Gang To Die’.

Morrissey reminisced about recording his recent album near Reading, and bemoaned getting a parking ticket in Caversham, before saying “Caversham, this next song’s not for you.”

The Moz moves on to Leeds tomorrow (August 29).

There's also a mention of his show in another review from the NME:

The second moment of real Reading history comes with Morrissey’s opener – it’s The Smiths’ classic ‘How Soon Is Now’ and there is a communal sigh of ecstasy. To the best of anyone’s knowledge, the grand old trouper has never played it live before. The set is peppered with the good stuff from new album ‘You Are The Quarry’ with some solo and Smiths gems including a glorious ‘There Is A Light That Never Goes Out’, a storming ‘Shoplifters Of The World Unite’ and a suitably wan ‘Everyday Is Like Sunday’. Moz more than makes up for his grumpy Glasto performance.

And finally, a poll for those who attended rating all of the different acts (Morrissey is currently in the lead, just slightly ahead of The Libertines):
