Stephen Fry is a Morrissey fan?

Thank you julie. Nice pic by the way.

I speak no other language, bar (broken) English so I have no idea what your signature says or means

Don't be sorry about that I'm french and I speak a bad english.

My signature is an extract of a Jean Genet's poem 'Le condamne a mort'. I don't want to try to translate it, I'm too afraid of making a mess of his poetry.

About Fry, I think I understand what you're saying. But that doesn't take anything away fron his talent. If he's not an artist, he's a good artisan.

Maybe.
I tend to think he deals with punditry rather than profundity and there problem is.

I've been a Stephen Fry fan ever since his Blackadder/Jeeves and Wooster days. I've only seen one episode of his quiz show, and I don't do Twitter, so I'm not as sick of him as some people seem to be.

The man is clever, erudite, charming, articulate, a wonderful comic actor, an engaging writer, and (from what I can glean from his televised appearances), a skillful conversationalist to boot. If he has become increasingly frivolous of late, I'm unaware of it.

I agree, he's not an artist, but he is a work of art. The fact that he is so popular these days is more a cause for celebration than misery, in my opinion.

After reading the original post, this is exactly what i would say about Stephen Fry. His tweets are hysterical (hubby tells me, i prefer facebook).
The man is a pure one-off artisan/genius and i lurve him!:D

How awesome is this. :guitar:

ThomasEdwardFreeman's "tribute to three great men. Wilde, Fry and Morrissey." He's missing one, Jude Law :horny:
This video stirs up some emotions in me... and emoticons... :lbf:...

Now people, T H I S is a song worthy of a 10.

That's fantastic Corrissey - thanks. :)

Jude Law was gloriously beautiful in that film, but I've always found him to be a bit dull.

Ah, too bad :p this clip ticks a lot of boxes for me. :D I've never seen the film, was it good? I think I have to watch it, soon, tho I have a hard time watching Jude :horny: He just does something to me. Well, I wish he would do something to me. I'll even take the jilted, cheated-on, wife role. I don't care that his hairline's receding!

^^

Corrissey, you MUST see this film, right away. It's deeply flawed, but Stephen Fry is wonderful, Jude Law was never more beautiful, and it's pure Wilde-porn all the way through. :thumb:

As for Mr. Law - what can I say? There's just something about him that I don't like. He is gobsmackingly gorgeous, and he's certainly got talent: I loved him in GATTACA. Maybe I'm just preemptively angry at him for the upcoming Sherlock Holmes debacle...

Mr. Law's stage performance as Hamlet will change your mind and bring you back to a state of pure admiration of his golden sugary Bosie-fied perfection.

("Gattaca" was pretty good, by the way. He was tasty in "A.I.", too.)

I take it the Sky Captain left you cold? :lbf:

I thought Fry has written that he doesn't listen to pop or rock music, only classical.
