What is the "Top Posters By Friends" feature of the journals all about? It sounds political. Are the top posters picked by other posters. Is that how it works? What is the benefit of being on someone's friends list?

it's a list of journals that you personally like to keep track of under the theory that so many people write journals that their entry my quickly scroll of unnoticed. basically, it is a popularity contest of who writes the most entertaining journal.

and before Mud or BG or Moby says anything: yes, i fully understand that my own journal is not entertaining.

Ok, that explained it very well. Thanks Suzanne. Well, I know I will never be on anybody's list, mine is so dull. But, that's ok by me.
