Can't choose between these three, all poor in different ways:
"Southpaw grammar" = no Moz, bad idea.
"Maladjusted" reissue = I hate the shades, the clothes and the pose.
"Swords" = completely lacking in energy.
The best cover of his solo career is "Everyday is like Sunday", hands down.
No, once officially released they don't belong in a discussion of favourite unreleased tracks.
This was the hardest (and best) poll for quite some time. Choosing between
the fantastic Striptease With A Difference, Please Help The Cause Against Loneliness and Happy Lovers United is really...
Beyonce's single stole the riff of this song:

and made millions of dollars. The success of Beyonce's song owes EVERYTHING to that riff. One of the best singles ever? Shea, right. Best theft maybe. Recognize the REAL talent. Naming that the best song...
Funny thing is, I already had those two, and while I loved Striptease..., I didn't like Oh Phoney at all. But now, in the new Revelation surroundings, I actually quite like it. The best bit on the record for me is when Moz sings the word "united" with a growl. I haven't been this excited about a...
Morrissey: Safe warm Lancashire home
The Smiths: A matter of opinion
(if I'm going to be stranded on a desert island I might as well get something new and exciting out of it...:))
Thank you so much. "Lifeguard On Duty" is so lovely, and "Happy Lovers United" is the best "new" Morrissey song I've heard in the last 15 years. I'm so happy right now.
Stephane, I'd be very interested in what the VH and BD bonuses would be.
The problem with your argument is that because you don't consider the song a ten, it's unthinkable that other people should do so, therefore they must be sycophants. I don't care for this particular song, and contrary to the majority I don't think "Seasick..." is anywhere near a ten either...
I ought to love this album because it's from my favourite solo Moz era, the Magnificent Seven early singles. But while I think the singles and B-sides from the Viva Hate era are simply astonishing, the album itself leaves me cold.

Re: hmmm
Glad to hear it, I'm curious to see how high "I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris" will place. Thank you for all your work with the poll, Houdini!
Get The Message is great, but Slow Emotion Replay (with The The) is my favourite of Marr's post-Smiths songs. Nothing But Flowers (with Talking Heads) is another fine one.
