I voted for Vauxhall. That’s a solid masterpiece. No flab at all. It’s consistent, focused and coherent - without getting dull or predictable. That’s a mighty feat. And the material is ridiculously strong.
I get what you're doing... but would have preferred separating Smiths and Morrissey. The poll has all of the Smiths and the first 6 years of Morrissey solo... it is really too difficult to pick one.
I voted for Meat is Murder. I'm surprised that Vauxhall & I is far outpacing any of the Smiths records. I consider it his masterpiece, but better than the Smiths?
Every Smiths album is superior to any of his solo albums. That's not to say I don't love all his solo albums upto and including Quarry, but The Smiths records are simply better.
