clearer video of Morrissey being hit

is it wrong that this makes me LOL really hard?

I just watched this video and LMFAO!!
To me, it doesn't look like it hurt him as much as it really pissed him off.
Storming off stage was a knee-jerk reaction and he should have come back on.

The person who threw it did a horrible thing; but after watching this video a few times, I think that Morrissey acted like a real jackass by stopping the show and disappointing so many loyal fans.

Has he even made any sort of statement yet?

No, he is still throwing his toys out of the pram. He is too busy to put his favourite 'crayon' to paper just yet!

at least it wasn't a shoe!

Hahaha, I've just burst out laughing at that, shouldn't really as I'm all out in Sympathy with our Moz.....but I completely forgot about that, its just Genius!!!!!!:lbf:

:lbf: Great post, Mr. Blaze!!

I bet that many of the people who thought the shoe throwing incident was hilarious are sick and ill over what happened to Morrissey.

In fairness to GWB, he reacted with great alacrity. :thumb:

Hi everyone,

I'm new here.

I think of it this way, he is doing his job, he sings for a living so it's work for him. Just as a chef who cooks dinner in a restaurant he works hard to make people happy. He does not deserve things to be tossed at him. I'd be pissed off too. I was at a gig once and someone threw his bottle at the singer there too, who got hit in the face by it and almost lost an eye. Only missed a few milimeters, he had a big cut on his cheek and a bruise. The guy who did it got send away by the singer himself.

I think if he was just doing his job, he would have soldiered on. As it is, singing on stage means a lot to Morrissey.

He's said on many occasions that it's this aspect of his 'career' he really lives for; it's a joyous thing for him, a spiritual thing, communing with the crowd.

It might have 'only' been a bottle of water but -- uncalled for, undeserved, unexpected -- it must have been pretty soul-destroying for our man.

I completely sympathise with him for walking off. Sometimes, it just isn't possible to get the wind back into your sails.

He doesn't work hard to make others happy...his work is hardly a hardship for him now is it? He is in a very fortunate position.

It literally makes me feel sick to watch this. And the other video and the still photo. I don't understand how witnesses could have said, right after it happened, that it didn't hit him, just went past him - it bounced off his head!

You need to get a life if you literally felt sick at this.

Nugz is right people ....chill

There's full coverage of the bottling incident (complete with video) on smart/snark website The Awl:

http://www.theawl.com/

There's a Meat is Murder pic too, for their coverage of Jonathan Foer's "Eating Animals" book.

Figures they'd be fans.

It is his job. He loves it, that makes a difference but it's still work. and he really didn't deserve it. And yeah I understand his reaction too. Sympathy for the man. It looks like a pretty hard blow too.

now that woul be a clip worth watching

I often think people underestimates Moz, obviously because of his age, but moreso because he's a musical artist. It may just be me, but

for his age, he is very powerful-looking. And with the current sound he's been producing, it's no doubt that he's no longer a fey, lanky boy from Manchester with a bush of gladioli in his trouser pocket (whether this is a good thing or a bad thing is up to you). I think the music press he gets though largely reflects that he's a miserable(?) fragile old man now. Idk..I for one could easily see him being FULLY capable of giving someone an old-fashioned thrashing.
:boxing:

Have you ever saw his muscles?
He's really good looking.

Last time I saw him in person, he was much scrawnier (but still hot). He's buffed up quite a bit!!!! I have always and always will love my Mozzer. But I'm glad he's taking care of his body...

Don't Morrissey's "people" have tasers and knock-out gas and stuff?

The verdict is, I don't blame him for walking off. It would have been far better if he had stayed, but he's the only one who knows and that might have put the whole show off.
