Salutations to all,

Am wondering if anyone would be so gracious as to assist me in finding lodgings in the enchanting country of Iceland during the week of August 12, when Morrisey will be playing in Reykivik.
Will be traveling all the way from San Francisco and, to be quite sure, I haven't the faintest idea of where to stay.(The Y.W.C.A. has yet to call me back...)
I would be most grateful for any and all assistance.
Thank you, so much.

Since nobody has replyed to you, I will say good luck. Most of the cooler/nicer hotels in the city center like The Borg, Plaza, Bjork are sold out. It's also notoriously one of the most expensive cities, so it will not be a cheap feat. I would honestly look at The Nordica, which isn't right in the city center, but not too far away, and is usually under $170 USD. Do it soon though. It's also Iceland gay pride that same weekend, so there will be a lot of visitors, and the majority of stuff is already sold out. Can a couple of you go together to cut on costs? Also, BYO duty-free alcohol!

Hey,
I'll be going very shortly myself to Iceland. I can't believe literally, that this dream is coming true for me. I studied about the country in college WAY back in 1998. I am very interested in their lifestyle and culture. They just seem a very peaceful and natural group therefore, this trip I hope to find too, an Epiphany on some unresolved issues. I hope to gain other perspectives too, while I'm there. Anyway, here's some photos of the place we're at.

Cheers, elizabeth

Wow. I'm very jealous. What was it like seeing him do Now My Heart and We'll Let You Know in Iceland!! Must have been brill.

Was it a large capacity? I ask these questions here as I'm tired of the main board tour review section. Have you read it?

To be honest, I don't think he played 'Now my heart is full' and 'We'll let you know'.

We need a reliable person to provide us the setlist...Where the f*** is this Julia-kid when you need 'er?

Just arrived back from Reykjavic I posted the set list from an internet cafe there.

Sorry to disappoint you but he DID play Now my heart is full. In fact I heard it twice because I heard it from outside when he did it at the soundcheck around 6.30pm.

He DID play We'll let you know as well.

I really dont give a shit if you believe me or not I was there, heard it and I have the set list from Arturo to prove it.

What is it about people on here ? !!

The venue wasnt sold out and they had put seats downstairs , it was supposed to be standing. I presume this was done as it wasnt going to be full. They did however allow us to rush to the stage just before he came on.

Chris,

It was good to meet you and your lady friend on Saturday. I cant remember now when you said you were leaving Iceland however, your photograph was in the Icelandic national newspaper ' Morgunbladid' this morning along with a gig review. I ripped out a spare copy so if you would like it PM me your address and I will post it to you.
