I can't even tell you how much it killed me to miss their show in Cleveland last month. :(

Japan is responsible for four of the most beautiful words ever - Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki & Kawasaki

Oh wowsah!!!! Someone else has heard of Big In Japan on here!!!!
Thanx Iamnicola!!

Yes it was quite a line of of a 'who's going to be big soon':guitar:
Ian Broudie was aged 14 / 15 and on guitar!
Budgie on drums
and half of Frankie in there too.
What was the name of the female vocalist? Jane?

Mine too! I fell instantly in love with it after hearing it on the radio at age 13 thereabouts. I ordered the 12-inch at the local record store, and for some reason it took weeks to arrive. Every day I'd pop in hopefully, and every day the shopkeeper would greet me with an increasingly sympathetic and apologetic air. Finally it arrived, and didn't leave the turntable for weeks. Must have driven my parents spare. :) Pure perfection, it is.

cheers

I first heard Japan as a kid, my auntie and two of my uncle's were into them. Japan were brilliant!

Have you ever heard their song 'Blue Oyster Cult' ??
It literally consists of:
"Blue blue blue oyster, blue blue blue oyster, oyster posioning... I went to a resturant with my friends, we all ate blue oyster, I feel headache, I feel stomachache.... etc etc..."

I used to have it as a ringtone on my phone and now I have no phone and therefore no Blue Oyster tune..... If you have it could you share it, pretty please?

Muchas gracias
