Mp3s and so forth (no Moz)

Being dense in such matters, I need to know the following:

I got one of those cheapo MP3 players, and at normal bitrate (128, 196) I can get 30-40 songs on it. Obviously, lowering the bitrate will eable me to fit more on, so does anyone know a program that will take a song at a certain bitrate, and convert it to a lower bitrate?

Did you get a software disc with it, Skinny?
My one allows you to change the format to WMA files, so saving memory.
This is probably of no use whatsoever to you

Musicmatch will convert the bit-rate - it's so easy that even I can do it.
