I have stored all vinyl separate from their sleeves since the early '80s in specialist boxes stored in dark cupboards to prevent ageing. All my Smiths sleeves are in immaculate condition and look (and smell) as fresh as the day were bought on release date.

I thought 7 inch pressings at that time had the groved edges around the label - the Reel Around the Fountain and 1 side Hand in Glove have them but the other singles don't. Was it around this time those groved edges started to disappear?

Has anyone out there received the signed LP? We could all be unlucky and not got one or maybe they don't exist. How will we ever know if that's the case?
