2022 Winter Olympics

Big Nick Baumgartner and Lindsey Jacobellis win the gold
in the mixed team snowboard cross.
At 40 years old and havin' finished 10th in his first event,
Big Nick comes through.
He wasn't even supposed to run, but due to harsh weather
conditions, the coaches thought Big Nick would fair better.
Lindsey added her second gold of the games.
Ya also gotta love that the beginnin' of this course is called
the Wu Tang section.

If the IOC bans Kamila Valieva from the Olymipcs,
they should be ashamed of themselves.
Her medical staff should be ashamed to.
Weren't no way a 15 year old girl knows what kind
of drugs she's puttin' in her body.
Ain't no way some heart medication is the reason
that she skates like she does.
Lol I think the IOC should've been ashamed of themselves when they decided to hold the Olympics in a country where 100,000 Muslim uyghurs are in concentration camps.

But keep fightin' injustice there, wildT.

Kamila will be allowed to skate, but at what cost?
What shoulda been the introduction of a once in a
lifetime talent to the world, has turned into a public
ridicule.
Can only hope that she rises above it all and shines.
The Wild Turkey Community supports ya Kamila.

The kid, Su Yiming, lands two 1800's in the snowboardin' big air
and wins the gold for China.
Strangely video of his performance is not available.

Amid the amount of pressure that would make the strongest of
adults crack, 15 year old Kamila Valieva stumbles once, but still
qualifies in first place durin' the women's short program.
Kamila was overcome with tears and received a standin' ovation
by those in attendance.

Watchin' Kamila Valieva skate last night, was like watchin'
someone in a fight to keep everythin' from fallin' apart.
There were times when it looked like her flesh was at risk
of fallin' off her bones.
The centripetal force of her talent, trainin' and sheer will,
was at battle against the centrifugal force of controversy,
confusion and pressure.
Heroically, she held it all together and posted the highest
score, even though she was clearly not at her best.
It was also clear that despite her current struggle, she is
the best figure skater on the planet.
An absolute tear jerker to witness.

Thanks for makin' the attempt, but the thing won't
work here in the U.S.
Had a chance to watch it last night on TV and it
was dramatic enough.
Have ya been watchin' it yourself Light Housework?
This is the most dramatic story to come out of
Russia since Anna Karenina. :)

If you hadn't posted about it, I wouldn't have watched her skate.

Overcome by pressure, Kamila Valieva falls several times
in her finals performance and finishes 4th overall and out
of a medal showin'.
What began with a once in a liftime talent introducin' herself
on the world stage, ended with Kamila uncontrollably cryin' at
the scorin' stand.
Everyone can go home happy now.

Unfortunately being able to focus and display precision even under pressure is an essential part of being a top athlete.

I daresay if one cared a stitch about the Olympics and the Olympic spirit one would see that this was the best possible outcome for all concerned. I for one am happy for those non-doping athletes who now get to take their rightful place on the podium.
