Alcohol

The use of alcohol among young people in Sweden has never been lower and it's actually seen as something weak and really bad now.
The takeover of islam worldwide will mean that no alcohol will be available anywhere but that is about the only plus point.
When you people vote you need to think about the small issues close to your heart or everything will be lost forever.

also, baileys in coffee is always a good idea

During my childhood we were allowed to drink wine with meals. A little wine mixed with SevenUp was very common in my house and I don't remember having been drunk one single time with that concoction. I went to school after lunch and I was quite brilliant compared to others. Now that I think about it most of them must have been drunk, maybe unlike myself they did like wine more than 7Up. I thought I was smarter, now I realize I was just more sober than the others. With years I developed a sort of disgust against alcohol and I tolerate a cup of wine in very rare occasions and homemade limoncello once in a while, mostly when I'm bored. There are a lot of alcoholic beverages I can't drink because of gluten intolerance. I never buy alcohol and there's no alcohol in my house. I think drinking alcohol in a public places is very unsafe. My relationship with alcohol is doomed. But many people around here make up for my failure.

My alcohol induced splits were on display in media for a few hours on Saturday. Sorry if you missed them. I'm not overweight, I don't have bad skin, and I'm as healthy now, as I was in my 20s (if not healthier) . That's because I exercise vigorously and eat properly. I removed said photo, because I know my dad has started frequenting Msolo (yes he's become a fan) and I'd prefer him not to know who Ragdale is. Chances are, he's already sussed.... but still better that he doesn't have photographic evidence! Haha.

I am not supposed to drink any alcohol at all on account of a chronic health condition. But a couple of times a year if I'm out, I might have a vodka and soda - very clean, very little sugar or yeast, therefore least damaging. And quite dull. But at least I get to 'join in'.

I do miss, from time to time:
Stones ginger wine on a cold winter night
Good port at Christmas, alongside the Stilton, cold turkey and Quality Street (something else I'm not allowed)
A crisp, cold Pouilly-Fuissé
Cobra beer with curry

I have never been able to understand the attraction of whisky - it has always tasted like lawnmower fuel to me. I thought I would acquire a taste for it as I got older, but it never happened. Maybe my taste buds process it differently or something? I can't believe people like what I taste when I've tried it. Maybe someone can enlighten me?

That’s bad news Peppermint but if it keeps you in good health the i suppose it’s for the best. Could do without most things on your list but would struggle having a curry without a large bottle of Cobra. Interesting what you say about Vodka, have you any more info on it being very clean?

'fraid I don't, Surface. It was just something my doctor told me - she specialises in nutritional health. I asked her what I could have if I really wanted a drink when I was out, and she recommended vodka as it has the least amount of crap in it, zero carbs/sugar/yeast. Something to do with the distillation process that makes it very pure, I think. She said 'it's a very clean alcohol'. So that's good enough for me. Interestingly, a friend of mine who can really knock it back when we go out has also converted to vodka as she says it prevents the hangovers. Anyway, with you on the Cobra, it's the biz with a good curry.
