Does Anyone have "File Under Kudzu"? Here is the setlist from REMTimeline.com:

22 January 1982 - Friday's, Greensboro, NC
set 1: Gardening At Night / 9-9 / Windout / Unknown / There She Goes Again / Sitting Still / That Beat / Pretty Persuasion / Mystery To Me / Carnival Of Sorts (Boxcars)
set 2: Ages Of You / Catapult / Shaking Through / Laughing / Romance / Ghostriders In The Sky / Permanent Vacation / 1,000,000 / Wolves, Lower / Radio Free Europe
notes: The unknown song sounds to me like a cross between Talk About The Passion and Romance, with a bit of Pilgrimage thrown in. I've seen some lists claiming it's either an early version of Talk About The Passion or Pilgrimage, but personally I think it sounds nothing like them and is a song in its own right. This show can be found on the CD bootleg 'File Under Kudzu'. This show is listed on that boot as being at the 40 Watt Club in Athens in January 1983, however this is the correct date and location

Hello, another request here...does anyone have the cover of #9 Dream (John Lennon) that I have heard floating around. Also, is it available to buy on any CD format? I can't seem to find it. Many thanks in advance!

(p.s. This thread is a real treasure trove, very grateful for everything on here!)

i have never heard about tony scalzo, so can't help you with that. would be cool to see what you have from 1996 and 1997.

Every Day Is Yours to Win (Live In Studio) now at German iTunes as b-sides from ÜBerlin single http://itunes.apple.com/de/album/uberlin-single/id430240735

I found the cd, I'll try to encode it in the next couple days. I has Low desert/Undertow acoustic amongst others. I gave the link for the Tony Scalzo stuff already, if you could convert the streaming files to mp3, that'd be awesome sauce.

Ok, I'm new to this great forum, just found out about it and have gladly snooped through the 102 pages. I want to send a huge 'thank you' to everybody who post files, because some are still active and I had a ball getting a lot of them!

The reason I joined is, though, I have a request. Does anyone have the bootleg "Chronic Murmurings" in FLAC or SHN or other lossless format? Been looking for this for quite some time now. If you can make it available as a torrent, I can get it all the same.

While at that, I offer you this, a version of "Living Well Is The Best Revenge" (from Accelerate), recorded especially for the (incredibly crappy) video recordings of Vincent Moon and only available as a digital download in iTunes: http://www.mediafire.com/?rztjxx8i5ug4lbk

Thanks a lot, mates!

Michael Stipe BBC 6 Music The First Time 17 Apr 11
This week on the First Time, Matt Everitt's guest is one of the most the most enigmatic influential singers and lyricists in music. As the frontman with R.E.M. Michael Stipe has steered the Athens Georgia fourpiece (who Stipe describes as "The band that had no goals") from the cult underground into the mainstream - setting a precedent for alternative rock bands - and opening the door for bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Radiohead and whole generations of new artists.
In this rare interview, Michael talks to Matt about the early songs that shaped his music outlook (a love of Tammy Wynette, The Beatles and the soundtrack to The Parent Trap hints at the eclectism that would define his career), his close relationship with Patti Smith (who appears on the new R.E.M. album Collapse Into Now), his desire to celebrate the concept of The Album in a broken market and how his band managed to maintain their status and one of the most esoteric groups ever, while also enjoying massive world-wide mainstream success
This will also be the 'First Time' an interview from the series has been filmed - and you can see Matt in conversation with Michael online at www.bbc.co.uk/6music from the day of broadcast.
