Morrissey liked them to play his album because they're good musicians.

Besides, hasn't Morrissey said some less than charitable things about Andy in the past? This is a graze, at worst.

Both much worse than what Andy said, and they're only the ones I can remember off the top of my head. I'm sure there are many more.
