Does anybody else here need a little drink to get them started in the mornings? or is it just me?
I think lager and cake is the modern day equivilant to Mead and Ambrosia - truly the food of the gods.

Best Brekkie combo? Carrot cake and Kronenburg 1664, I mean a pint of numbers and that king of cakes, the moist carroty one, is truly a match made in heaven!

Runner up - Black Forest Gateau with Grolsh - The crafty germans maybe lost the war but they never lost the plot! This combo is Tutonic Tastiness at its best - I swear this is the one for a lazy morning watching Judge Judy!.

Worst Combo - Sad to say but there has to be a loser, and that would need to be a Butterscotch Sponge with a Can of Carlsberg Special Brew Super Strength, Its just a bad combo, neither could be faulted individually but together they produce a cacophony of disharmony in the mouth, as Jilly Goolden the BBC wine expert would say, I'm getting hints of Mens Socks and Mouse Droppings mixed with the taste of the armrest of a battered old leather armchair - On paper this combo oughta work but sadly Cake n Beer breakfasts ain't played on paper!

Hope to have given you all a few ideas!

is there a working Mums equivalent, something for the modern woman on the go all the time, whom Judge Judy cannot make a verdict for?

Little Mothers Helper...Here it comes...

What u need is Lambrini and Empire Biscuits, Lambrini is the perfect Lo-Alcohol breakfast wine for the health concious, Ideal for mothers as they need their wits about them until at least 08.45 when the scamps are away to school, also can be hidden in a Tango apple bottle for those sneaky office refreshments.

The Empire biscuit is of course a solid and traditional workaday biscuit designed for the British, The British never mind about a few crumbs as long as the biscuit does its job and fills the gap, the jellytot on top completes the joy!

Hope this helps,

Reg

Cheers

Won't it play on it anyway? hmmm when I first got it, I played it on the PS2 with the help of another disc that let you play any region DVD. I'm not sure if I still have it. I'll ask the man of the house when he comes back. Technology's not my strong point as you may have gathered.

Off for me all day breakfast now.

Oh, but I can't go past oatmeal with organic sultanas. I never ever have
had a tipple in the morning. Only fruit juice, preferably tomato.
But cheers to you just the same.

I have a friend who swears by Carling Black Label and granny smiths apples, although I've never tried it myself. I really love beans on toast for breakfast, I guess the perfect accompaniment would have to be Tia Maria, slightly sexy but also filling.

>Best Brekkie combo?

Toast w/ a squeeze of lemon in lieu of butter and green tea.

Insipid, i know, but consistent with the rest of my life.
