And we did tell you that at the beginning of March on this show and he actually said, at the time, please let people know I'm not doing it because that's how it will look - they'll be saying I've pulled out and I've never, ever agreed to do it."

Which is all the more reason why this fact should have been disseminated more widely. The Isle of Wight festival is quite a bit larger than your average local venue gig, so it would stand to reason that many attendees would be coming from other countries. A brief comment via Janice Long is not broadcast to enough people to qualify as adequate notice.

I'm not one of the affected parties, so I feel that's said with some outside objectivity.
