Is that easy?

Can someone tell me where that would be easiest?

And how I should go about it?

Thanks.

I'll do it

You name the time and place, and I'll be there. Anything to help make a tourist's stay in this place less enjoyable.

Re: I'll do it

All kidding aside, do you guys really have that much of a disdain for tourists?

Re: I'll do it

Get Morrisseys Manchester book, it tells U in there where you should avoid after dark, so if U go to those places U shud get Ur wish eh?

Hell yes!

Umm YEAH! I f***ing DESPISE tourists, they are a plague in London. You're trying to get to work or to an appointment, walking fast on the street or tube platform, and there's inevitably some f***ing sheep-like wankers standing IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PAVEMENT having a VERY SLOW debate about how to get to Lie-ses-ter Square (or Leicester Square to the rest of us). When actually moving it's sooooooooo slow (and yes still right IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PAVEMENT) they are just a bloody great obstacle to those of us who have to WORK in central London to pay TAX and COUNCIL TAX to keep the streets clean and functioning for these IDIOTS. Can't they walk to one side and keep the f*** out of the way? And are these people born with no consideration or any sense of spacial awareness WHATSOEVER????

Can you tell they annoy me?

GDx

PS Come to Holloway, North London, you'll get a right kicking here.

Re: Hell yes!

Yeah, pity about the $2 billion dollars or whatever it is they pump into the London ecomomy to keep it going.

Oh yes

I live in York, the second most touristy place in England behind Lannndon. We get all the Yanks, the Japanese, every one. Even wacky Sarferners. But saying that, you do look after the local economy. Just don't get in my way on my lunch break when I really, really need that sandwich.

Re: Oh yes

Or what???? id kidry issue you a chair shot to the head...mr moto.

Yes. Chester (nearby to me) is full of old lady trips from down south who clog up the pavements, fat American toursists who drop litter everywhere and Japanese tourists who take pictures of EVERYTHING. Horrid place.

Re: I'll do it

I can understand what you are saying and when I'm down at the shore during the summer it's the same thing.(except for the council tax and Leicester Square). It takes about 2 hours to get over the bridge, miles of backups at the parkway tolls, can't get into the bars, grocery stores, having your bike stolen, and have French Canadians scream at you because you don't know where the suitcase motel is. But if you came here I would be nice to you. (as long as you don't call me curse words in french).

seems to me like there is a hell of a lot of aggro between Canadians of French and non-French origin. The French are such an easy target at the monent, people getting on their backs from all sides just because they didn't want to fight. People need to calm down.

I only have a problem with French Canadians. They're vile, rude, obnoxious and arrogant. That puts you on my shitlist! Yes, I'm generalizing. I realize that not ALL French Canadians are like that -- only 99 % of them.

I only know one French Canadian, I quite like Jacques Villeneuve. So I like 100% of French Canadians that I know :)

I really don't like to generalize either but every single French Canadian I have ever had contact with has been rude to me and this has happened way before the Iraq war. I was at an Montreal Expos game and when I asked someone if I was in the right seat he told me to f*** off and he said something to his friend in French, and it's happened here as well. If a tourist asked me something I would try to be as helpful as I could.

Re: Hell yes!

I did go to Montreal when I was in Canada, but didn't meet any French Canadians to have an experience with.

I was accompanied by two lovely male Ontarians though, who informed me of the Frenchies reputation and kept this innocent English girl away from them

It's a lot easier than it is in New York. Every single night there I tried to start a fight and nope, nothing.
I'm sure it wasn't like that 20 years ago.
I blame Guiliani.

Nothing to do with Iraq, davie. There were some working with us in Nova Scotia a couple of years back, and they were loathed by other canadians.
A bit like scousers here.
