Morrissey is bigger then Weezer?

Apparently the alt rock band Weezer were scheduled to do a broadway residency next month where they were going to preform each of their new 4 album seasons protect in full each night. According to news they have cancelled the residency due to low ticket sales?

Kind of surprised by this as Moz easily sold out his residency.

I would guess that Weezer have sold more records than M, but in terms of cultural significance, we all know who comes out on top.
