No matter how hard I try, I cannot even bear to listen to Oasis. The singer's voice is so whiney and off-putting. The lyrics could be great. The music may be wonderful. But, errr I just can't listen to this band.

What band receives critical acclaim and/or is popular with the masses, but you ain't buying any of it?

right now? at this second?

the Gorillaz.

i actually liked the first song they came out with a couple of years ago. i bought the CD. i discovered quickly that it was the only decent song on the entire album because it sounded like the sort of rap music you find on children's TV shows like Barney.

however, that didn't cause my current annoyance.

that new song on the radio was grating on my ears even before i could catch the name of who sang it. it sounds like a slapdash of crap like they didn't know what to stick in certain parts and just threw stuff in there to bulk it up, and it sounds like the main idea for the song came from the hope that it would be used in Guy Richie's next film as yet another band of 3rd rate Quintin Tarrantino-type hoodlums stroll down the street looking cool to their retro-y brit hip-hop.

MAROON 5

And most other popular pop acts like Shakira, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, etc. I find Maroon 5 particualarly disgusting though.

Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, and Green Day.

'00's: No Doubt

Ninties: Red-Hot Chili Peppers

Seventies/Eighties: The Clash, Buzzcocks

Sixties: The Grateful Dead

Oh by decades, good idea! But only two for now...

80's - Motely Crue. This says it all: Customers who bought this title (Motley Crue - Greatest Hits) also bought:

* Greatest Hits [Original recording remastered] ~ Guns N' Roses (Rate it)

* Vault: Greatest Hits ~ Def Leppard (Rate it)

* Greatest Hits ~ Whitesnake (Rate it)

* The Best of Warrant [Explicit Lyrics] ~ Warrant (Rate it)

* Forty Seasons: The Best of Skid Row ~ Skid Row (Rate it)

* Bad For Good: The Very Best of Scorpions ~ Scorpions (Rate it)

* The Best of Van Halen, Vol. 1 ~ Van Halen (Rate it)

* Ratt & Roll 8191 ~ Ratt (Rate it)

Though admittedly, I was a fan of Van Halen and The Scorpions. Yeah, and I like some Guns N' Roses stuff.

60's - Rolling Stones -- I don't get the appeal at all. Maybe you had to be there. I dunno.

Hey, I used to get energized to clean house by listening to the Scorps. Nothing like "No One Like You" to vacuum to.

Oh my, I guess it was the heart pounding beats that did it for me. It surely was NOT these corny lyrics. Hehe.

Girl, it's been a long time that we've been apart
Much too long for a man who needs love
I miss you since I've been away
Babe, it wasn't easy to leave you alone
It's getting harder each time that I go
If I had the choice, I would stay

There's no one like you
I can't wait for the nights with you
I imagine the things we'll do
I just wanna be loved by you

No one like you
I can't wait for the nights with you
I imagine the things we'll do
I just wanna be loved by you

Girl, there are really no words strong enough
To describe all my longing for love
I don't want my feelings restrained
Ooh, babe, I just need you like never before
Just imagine you'd come through this door
You'd take all my sorrow away

There's no one like you
I can't wait for the nights with you
I imagine the things we'll do
I just wanna be loved by you

No one like you
I can't wait for the nights with you
I imagine the things we'll do
I just wanna be loved by you

No one like you

Ouch!

i like a couple of maroon 5's songs, but they are horrible when they try to get funky, so they should just stick with The O.C. soundtrack quality stuff.
