Robin's Keen

Hi everybody!

i've always wandered where the Go On! came from. I don't know if you've already talked about it but i'm pretty sure the speaking voice of Roy's Keen cames from Robin Williams mouth in Dead Poet's Society, as you can hear at 41'' of this clip:

There's football in there, there's also poetry, this was Morrissey's world at that time, wasn't it?

what do you think?

I really hope that's not true. I adore the song, but not R. Williams. Except in the Birdcage. I love that movie. But more so for Nathan Lane naturally.

Definitely not.
I listened to the clip you provided, and the voice in RK is definitely speaking more matter-of-factly, as if it's impatient, rather than demonstrative.

Oddly enough, information about this sample isn't on passionsjustlikemine. I'd imagine it's in one book or another, but it's not coming to mind for me -- anyone know? It's not one of the lads imitating an American accent is it?

The "Go on!" on Roy's Keen is definitely not from that scene.
