Maybe the fans ought to grow up a bit themselves.
You'd almost think Morrissey was their Mother the way some of them go on. "Morrissey saved/changed my life" ad nauseum..
He saved no one's life. He's a singer. If your life changed you did it yourself.
Same with the other extreme. Suddenly he is enemy number one because he cancelled a concert. Big deal. It's your lookout if you are going to spend money you can't afford travelling hundreds of miles to see a singer. Get your priorities straight.
Take some responsibility because Morrissey's not going to do it for you. He does concerts because he enjoys them, no other reason, to make his life happier, not yours. Good luck to him.

Sad though eh?

I might be less sanguine had I shelled out to go, but I do agree with the post in essence.
Much as I was tempted, I'm glad i stuck to my decision to steer clear of the big, impersonal, cattle-market festival gigs.

I wanted to, I intended to and then succumbed to the insanity of a shitty festival.

Bought the ticket, bought the plane fare, bought the lies.

Never mind eh.

It's not the money.

Money can't buy me love as someone once said.

It's far deeper than that.

Anyway.

I hate and despise capitalism with more avengance than I ever thought possible.

Now, that leads me back to the long and winding road.

Who are the main CAPITALISTS?

I shan't go there again.
