With all my heart, I urge the users of this board to email David T & demand that the current moderators on this board are replaced by people who have a sense of humour.

Rain Man would be ideal, but the PIMP is the logical and sane move.

It does not need to be said again, but the current mods have collectively turned this board into the most neurotic & humourless place on the planet.

For regular users, the board is suddenly not a very nice place to visit because the moderators now conduct themselves with all the charm and unanswerable indignation of Hitler's SS.

Please bring humour and intelligence back to the board.

Don't forget to email David and demand he get rid of the current mods.

I agree with most of your sentiments freebie, but ffs how in your heart do you come up with 'pimple' as the obvious choice for mod? OK I'm not arsed that my posts get deleted as long as the same happens to his, at least my posts are Moz related & I'm sure you must know I'm a fan? I think if it wasn't for his vile posts in the first place then we wouldn't have been moderated anyway, so how can you offer him as a mod?
I'm sure he will offer his (imagined) sexual prowess on my elderly mother as a response, is that humour?

dear Colleen, please without malice explain how you can say that? If it wasn't for his vile comments we wouldn't have moderators now, don't you think? So are you saying that he should be allowed to go about unrestricted & say those things about my elderly sick Mam? I use to think you had some degree of moderation, I would have nominated you as a mod until your last post, you've lost everything I ever felt for you now. What a sad night this is.

The number of posts that have been deleted almost immediately recently, I'm sure, have left Board users rubbing their eyes & wondering if they were ever there at all.

Having managed to see a small number of them, before they were moderated out of existence with a ghastly enthusiasm not witnessed since Hitler's insane attempt to eradicate anyone he deemed undesirable, i'm puzzled, as i found most of them very funny.

I believe it is safe to assume that most of the Board users are unlikely to be in favour of such arbitrary & unreasonable deletions, made even more unacceptable if the moderator has a personal grudge against someone & deletes his/her posts as a matter of course.

But of course, this would never happen. Would it?

As for Rain Man & PIMP, why shouldn't they be given the opportunity to moderate the Board? Although my personal preference would be that the Board wasn't moderated at all.

I find the Traffic Warden mentality annoying enough out on the street, without having it inflicted upon me in my own home.

Whatever is being posted, we all have the choice whether to read it or not.
If you have a problem with a particular user, then don't read his/her posts.

It's that simple.

Having read it, we then have another choice, which is to either respond to it, or not respond.

I don't know about you, but I was never one for running to the teacher, if someone called me names in the playground.

You may find some posts offensive. If so, then either ignore them or tell the poster to go f*** him/herself, or words to that effect.

I think it's more immature to demand that that someone should no longer be allowed to say what they like in a Public Forum, because you don't approve.

GrimO- Look, I LIKE Proper. He's like His Majesty in a way, you either *get it* or you don't when it comes to our Pimp. If he indeed said something about your sick mother, I am very sorry for that. But I am not in a position, and I wouldn't want to be, to control what others say. As for being nominated for Moderator, it's a job I'd never want anyway. And I truly don't think you've ever felt any degree of *friendship* for me anyway. You and GU never approached me in a friendly way until you ahem..wanted something. So please don't say you thought of me as a person you cared about when you really didn't. I bear no ill will towards you or GU, just telling it like it is.
