Vegetarian Thread 2012

My neighbor who works at Whole Foods brought me this block of cheese (so sweet!:sweet:) because I was asking her if the dairy department had certifiably "happy" dairy cow cheese and milk. (I need to ease into the idea of veganism, Rome wasn;t built in a day and I CAN'T imagine giving up ice cream cones at the game and walking Barney to 31 Flavors and the chocolate milk I chug on the ride home from Trader Joes and a zillion other milk snippets in any given day...)

So the cheese claims to be organic. And Certified Humane. From "local dairies." But what's to say that those dairies don't crate their baby calves for veal? Eff. I think the only way to guarantee anything is to buy a cow and stick her in your backyard and know that she's happy. But you'd have to encourage her to make milk which would involve hormones...it's a no win.

The difference here being that he actually has someone who loves him and finds him heartbreakingly handsome.

Somewhere, somebody loves my sausage fingers. :sweet:
