Do you drink it instead of coffee, or do you consume both drinks?

I personally don't like the taste of coffee. I like the smell but not the taste. Mostly I drink large tankards of soda. I mix the Coke with the Coke Light...why get all those calories?

I drink tea occasionally. I like the dark kinds. Recently I bought a box of Twining's "Prince of Wales Tea".

I know you are all so excited to know this of me. I think I've been reading to many of Andy Ison's posts.

I brought some stuff back from China last year - "Monkey King" - it's supposed to be hand picked by trained monkeys from trees too high to otherwise reach. Whatever, it gives you a real buzz, and helps through the day.

i also drink LOADS of coffee.

i get home and then drink loads of soda, mixed with vodka or rum.

I prefer dark tea...to me green tea is like drinking the juice of a mowed lawn. At least some of the greens I've tasted. Green is supposed to be better for one, but I don't care if it is if it doesn't taste good.

White Tea

White tea,
aristocrat that once
an emperor’s concubines’
slim fingers plucked
at dawn, dew-drenched
upon the mountainside,
rare oriental pearl, its
scent so subtle and precise
defies analysis,
is pure delight.
Within the amber
liquid lapped in
palest porcelain
tipped leaves uncurl
to leave a taste
upon the lips divine,
meanwhile like
mist or smoke
steam rises from the cup,
its wraiths unfurl
about its lip,
become a fragrant
kiss, a lover’s tongue
that seeks a loved one’s
tongue to touch
gently, tip to tip.

i can understand that. it is an acquired taste, compared to most teas, but seeking out a good quality green tea may change your mind (they can be REALLY pricy, though).

I used to drink herb tea. Red Zinger is pretty good.

but now if I drink tea I like green tea.

"The juice of mowed lawns" is a phrase I won't soon forget though.
