Morrissey meets with Elektra Records president and Zack de la Rocha

Blykey, I think that Morrissey's idol Buster Poindexter is with Elektra, I hope my dreams will now be fulfilled of Morrissey and Buster doing a duet re-make of "Hot, Hot, Hot".

Something to get unduly excited about:

Elektra is nowadays an imprint of Warner Music Group. Could new Smiths releases be a bargaining-chip in negotations?

Elektra knows he doesn't need The Smiths. I hope we get an an announcement soon. The president was quoting Smiths lyrics last week on IG.

Electra is part of Warner so he'll be going back to his old American record company, YAY.

Hahahahahaha... Morrissey and the bloke from Rage Against The Machine: the revolution will be brought to you by Sony (and now Warners).

These two hypocrites look perfect together. Beautiful.

I think Morrissey's career for the last 20 years has been to search for a new label. During the lulls, he released new material.

"I was looking for a label but then I found a label, and heaven knows I'm miserable now!"

Steven "UKIP apologist" Morrissey hung out with Zack de la Rocha and still has all his original teeth? Wonders never cease.

Morrissey loves to carp on about his pet causes in the shrillest manner possible, for the sake of provocation. de la Rocha is the real deal, whatever you can say about his music.

The real deal? Expressing socialist rhetoric while making product for Sony Entertainment? They're no more sincere or "real" than Morrissey. That's to say, not very.
