Colin Quinn (@iamcolinquinn) mentions Morrissey in his new book The Coloring Book, A Comedian Solves Race Relations in America in the chapter devoted to Latinos. He writes:

Mexicans love death. They like skulls. Skull candy. Skeleton figures. Skull decorations. Maybe it's because skulls are stripped down, like their cars? That's why they like Morrissey. He can sell out Mexico City. I think it's because the nation's identity is half goth morbidity and half grunge sincerity.
