No agreement was ever signed? Didn't he announce on tty early this year that he had a 2 album deal?
What f***ery.

Unless of course, there's some cute semantics and wordplay going on - he signed a 2-album deal with Capitol, not, as he puts it in this new statement, Capitol-Harvest.
So it could be he's angling for a transfer to a different division of the company.
I do have to laugh at how readily every media source that picked up on the Billboard story (the one that claimed he hadn't been dropped) referred to it as though it were fact, even though Billboard quite clearly stated their information was from "a source close to the situation," and not based on an actual statement from anyone at Harvest/Capitol.
Also, can someone who knows about this sort of thing shed light on what's meant by "Morrissey retains full ownership of World Peace is None Of Your Business" (in today's TTY statement)? Does that mean Morrissey could theoretically re-release WPINOYB with another label if he wanted to?
