Via Mporium email,
I appreciate this is an 'event', but as it is on the same day as the gig & selling 'rare' tour merchandise - thought it could go in the tour section to alert concert goers.
Regards,

When did Morrissey ever come out as vegan? Did he say that somewhere, or was it fans assuming he was vegan because of the rice milk rider?

I seriously doubt Morrissey gave up leather shoes, and dairy in his tea. Certainly, he's not eating Vegan when he eats out, or is downing an entire pizza by himself.
You need to keep up pal. Morrissey wears Stella McCartney shoes and canvas pumps. He also puts Cashew Milk in his weak Assam Tea. Have you seen him eating out? I often have a whole Vegan pizza to myself (ooh greedy me). Most pizza places have a vegan option or two. Including vegan cheese. So what was your point exactly??

We can't. Taxes are too high.

In an ideal world we all would be using vegan shoes designed by Stella McCartney.
He was just making a point. Wear Converse, rubber shoes, flip flops, the boots I am wearing now were £50 from Sports Direct 100% synthetic. Unless the call centre or school you attend insists on those pointy black leather shoes.

Why not halal meat and why are they excluding muslims from this?
All Vegan food is halal isn’t it? Also, where does it say Muslims cannot attend? This is West Yorkshire where many Muslims live in peace and they have many brothers and sisters here. Why are you looking for something that isn’t there. Peace and Love.

I know and that's what I do. That was a joke linked with the topic of taxes we were discussing in another post, and the fact that it would be nice if people were not robbed their money having to pay taxes just to fund privileges and bureaucracies, then everybody could enjoy at least a nice pair of shoes. That's a dream, obviously.
The real today's world is about making common people more and more poor with the excuse of helping the poor. Very far from the aspirations of people like Ford, for example, whose ideas as a visionary were that everybody could enjoy the benefits of the high end technology of his time. Now, it's exactly the opposite. Look at the prices of Tesla cars. Nowadays, money investors are financing projects and enterpreneurs whose products will be used by a minority of the population. I'm far from socialism, but if capitalism has to be viable, it has to promote a minimal decent way of living for everybody. What do you think?

There’s a test pressing on eBay now bid up to 500 quid - why wouldn’t moz flog Signed lps for say 300 quid a piece at the shows.... or just sign some of the LIhS ...

What are they on about?
I thought Vegan Day was 1st November.
Jonny Vegan

That is World Vegan Day - you thought correctly.
However, many UK counties have local events - this is a very small one:

There's a shop called "Patty Smith's" there too :)

Would someone be kind enough to get hold of one of the blue bags that feature on the top right corner of the picture that has the black t-shirt with the Morrissey gothic lettering on the front for me tomorrow? I will pay for the bag & postage, of course. Pm please.

I understand some of the "crew wear" sold will be used Jock straps previously worn on-stage by Marr, Joyce and Rourke. Items none of the current band are fit to carry.

Quarter to twelve on a Friday night and your posting shite like that on the internet. Get a f***ing grip will you lad.

Wasn’t sure if there would be a q so have went round to venue to scope it out .
Nobody here waiting , some guys are loading boxes into the place from the side street that’s all that’s happening at moment

Was going to drive up this morning in the hope, but just getting over lurghi with voice gone put me off

First Morrissey gig tonight - got to be honest, The Smiths never really did it for me and got into Moz after hearing 'Irish Blood, English Heart' and I love 'LIHS'. So pleased he is doing so much material off it and finishing with 'Irish....'. Can't wait for showtime!!!! Does the show normally last around 90 minutes?

Let’s face it, was a bit of a waste of everybody’s time (more so for those that were in Newcastle last night and probably raccd down to Leeds to make 11am.

Would it have been too much to ask to have some signed stuff organised? Let alone have the tour crew tshirts onhand as was advertised.

(Would any other band / artist have such a popup shop without some extremely limited edition merchandise / offers for the fans that couldn’t otherwise buy from online shop?)

As it was only a few Merch items you couldn’t have get on the tour dates so far:
was different colour scarf / hat,
London popup store posters
Morrissey duffle bags
Morrissey Harrington jackets

To be fair the mystery tshirt bundles were decent offer / value though and was at least something to make it worthwhile
