Similarity between "The Queen is Dead" and Tyrannosaurus Rex's "Elemental Child"

Has anybody ever noticed the similarity in tune between "The Queen is Dead" and "Elemental Child" by Tyrannosaurus Rex? I'm referencing the way they are sung. I know Morrissey's a fan of T. Rex, so an allusion to their music wouldn't be unlikely. Plus, the 'Roman nose' lyric in "Bigmouth Strikes Again" could be a allusion to Marc Bolan's use of the expression in T. Rex's "One Inch Rock".

There are also many similarities between T-Rex's Get It On
and In The Future When All's Well, especially in the bass and guitar parts, but I blame that on Tony Visconti.

I think Johnny has said, and Simon Goddard also, that the song "The Queen Is Dead" was inspired by The Velvet Underground's 'I Can't Stand It".
